PKMN DWMA App - Iora

_{I should just stop saying that I won't join anymore groups |D}

With Phantasaire no longer running, I decided to find another group for Iora. Hopefully this is the right one cx
She looks a little plain imo so there may be some changes to her design as time passes since the group's currently closed~
WELP. Guess this design'll do for now because she's in AMG ;U;

Nature: Careful

History: Iora was born to a working-class family in Edmonton, Alberta. Despite them not being the richest 'mon in the world, her parents did their best to get their mute daughter everything she needed. She was sent off to the best school they could afford and there she learned your usual subjects. Math, science, english etcetera. There was also battle practice class but the Ralts wasn't too keen on that. Hurting others wasn't what she wanted to do, simple as that. That and she found her teacher a little... odd. He would randomly say words that didn't make sense in the lesson. Kishin, meisters, DWMA. Unfortunately the course was mandatory so she had to train. At least a few good things came from doing so. She eventually evolved into a Kirlia, becoming more agile in the process. When she did evolve, the lessons seem to have gone stranger. She had to hold various objects and use them to her advantage in battle. Sometimes it was swords, other times it was bows and arrows. There was one time she had to hold a gun. Nope, she couldn't take it anymore. Writing to her parents about what was happening, they immediately reported the school.

The Kirlia was walking home, her last day of school finished. She was basically pulled out of school because of the events that occured. Usually she would be walking with the few friends she had (couldn't make much due to her lack of speech) but not this time. It was dark and gloomy for an afternoon. For some reason, her surroundings were silent. Where is everyone? Did she take a wrong turn? She really should've had someone walk with her. She's terrible at directions. Her natural sense of other's emotions sensed nothing. No... wait a minute... She sensed someone else. Something else. This was an odd feeling, something she never came across before. It was overwhelming. She couldn't help but clutch her head and shut her eyes in pain. When she opened her eyes again, she wish she never did. Standing in front of her was the most grotesque creature she had seen in her life. What species was it? Sandslash? Fearow? It looked like a disgusting combination of the two! Iora just stood there, too paralyzed in fear to move. The monster ran for the Kirlia. It would've gotten to her if it weren't for an Espeon kicking its face. The Espeon glowed white and when Iora could see again after being blinded, her eyes grew wide.

There it layed on the floor. A staff with a blade on one end. It ordered the Kirlia to pick it up. No not it, he. He ordered her to pick him up. Why did he sound so familiar? Iora was shocked but she obliged, grabbing the staff with trembling fingers. What happened next she couldn't fathom to this day (as if that was the only thing she found unbelievable). She twirled the staff and made a battle stance, glaring at the creature with a cold stare. What was she doing? She isn't like this at all! Was she being controlled? The monster lunged yet right before it hit, the Kirlia disappeared, Teleporting out of sight. Appearing just behind it, she struck the back of its head with all the strength she could muster. She heard its skull crack. And that was that. It vanished just as quickly as it came, leaving behind a red glowing orb. The Espeon returned to his normal form and picked up the orb before eating it. Iora didn't see this action. She was too busy sitting in a fetal position with tears running down her face, too traumatized by what she just did to move. The Espeon had to carry her home.

It was a blessing that the Espeon (which it was later found out that he was the battle practice teacher) explained very carefully rather than bombarding Iora with all the information he knew. She couldn't handle what happened recently so how can it be expected that she would understand the first time? Many months since the event have passed and eventually she took it all in. Kishins were evil creatures who feed on the souls of the innocent. Meisters eradicate the Kishins along with their Weapon partner to save humanity. The Death Weapon Meister Academy was-- no is where Meisters and Weapons train and receive missions pertaining to the eradication of Kishins. It was brought up that Iora should enroll in the academy. The Espeon thought she had immense potential judging from the fight with her first Kishin but Iora thought otherwise. The fact that her teacher was a one star weapon only proved that it was him and not the Kirlia that defeated the Kishin. And what of her parents? What will happen to them once they realize that their daughter may go off killing monsters? In a different country no less, even if it's just the one below their own. All the negative thoughts were racing across her head as she quickly wrote them to her teacher using Hidden Power. It was when the Espeon gripped her by one shoulder and shook her a bit that she stopped writing mid-sentence.

"Iora, listen to me. You will do great in the academy. Your senses, knowledge and agility will make you a great asset. You shall find your perfect partner and together with him or her, you will help rid the world of evil. I know it's dangerous. I've handled my handful of Kishin with my partner but /please/. Join the cause. You will not regret it."

Iora just made an awkward smile. Ohhh dear. He's really pushing her to do this. How's she supposed to answer? She's not a battler! How can he expect her to go along with this?! Then again... Those Kishin were evil creatures. One almost got her but she knew that other lives were lost because of them. Innocent lives. Kirlia had to think for a moment before giving a shaky nod. From the Espeon's speech, she felt that it was something she needed to do. The right thing to do. The Espeon also explained the events to her parents and while they were vehemently against having their daughter have such a dangerous occupation, they were eventually convinced otherwise. They were all on the same page. She would've filled an application herself but it was to her surprise that an application with her name was already sent off. Guess she will just have to train a little more while waiting for a response.

Personality: Iora can be a little shy at first, especially towards those who are much louder than herself (she kinda gets intimidated by those kinds of 'mon |D). Once she opens up however, that's where her true personality lies. She's kind, always having a sweet smile on her face and always trying her best to cheer up anyone who is down. Seeing her angry is a rarity. She does tend to panic easily however, imagining the worse that could happen in a dangerous situation and blaming herself for anything that went wrong.

Additional Info:
·She uses hand gestures and writes with Hidden Power to communicate with others.
·It was just recently that she learned how to use telepathy. Her 'mind voice' tends to be low in volume and has a stutter.
·Being the Emotion Pokémon, she can sense others' feelings fairly easily. Not much you can hide from her really, emotion-wise.
·She tends to use Psychic on herself to glide along the floor and float in the air. A good battle strategy and it's just fun for her.
·Her personality changing when she fought her first Kishin was actually because of her ability tracing its Keen Eye. This gave her the utmost focus.
·She clings on others when really scared. Just a fair warning.
·Knows how to play the violin and piano. Think Lindsey Stirling or Yiruma.
·Other than classical pieces, she also likes to play covers of songs.
·Her birthday is on November 11.
·She's left-handed~
